Born in SAIGON (HU CHI MIN), PETER MAK TAI KIT grew up in Hong Kong, he won many awards making short experimental films while he stayed in TAIWAN during his University age, and later began his film career as an art director, working back in HK TVB VIDEOFILM. He directed his first feature in HK (AH FU), and has been a prolific director ever since, working in a wide variety of genres. His first full length film “the hero, the looser” was nominated  Best film, best editing, best music, and best script in TAIWAN Golden Horse Award and established his reputation as a stylist specializing in unique visual. In 1992 Peter Mak Tai-kit directed “WICKED CITY (produced by TSUI HARK)” he spins this exuberant, visually dense adaptation from the popular similarly named Japanese anime. The film is set in a world where shape-shifting alien creatures known as Raptors have infiltrated human society. The film now is most claimed as a scifi-classic cult film of HK film industry in the 90”s. He also directed the TV series “Meteor Garden 2” which open up a new age to Asia trendy TV drama in 2001, now is working as both TV and Movie director in TAIWAN /CHINA/HONG KONG.
